Zebra Tales: Share Your Self-Care Story about Living with Carcinoid/NETs
The Carcinoid Cancer Foundation and our partner Self Care Catalysts are pleased to launch Zebra Tales, a series of patient and caregiver stories about self-care while living with Carcinoid or other Neuroendocrine Tumors (NETs).
We are inviting you to share your story about self-care—the things you do every day that help you achieve triumphs, big or small, over this rare disease.
Information about managing Carcinoid/NETs usually focuses on the medical aspects. With Zebra Tales we will spotlight real stories from real people that focus on the experience of living with—and managing—NETs on a day-to-day basis.
We are selecting 12 stories to be featured on the Carcinoid NETs Health Storylines app, to provide the community with helpful and supportive anecdotes about how YOU manage your experience living with NETs.
Topics you can write about include (but are not limited to) the following:
Physical self-care (i.e. nutrition, exercise, fun physical activities, etc.)
Spiritual self-care (i.e. meditation, making time for reflection, spending time in nature, spiritual connection or community, religion, praying, etc.)
Psychological and emotional self-care (i.e. writing in a journal, stress relief, mindfulness, psychotherapy, etc.)
Workplace or professional self-care (i.e. taking a break during the workday, setting limits and expectations, etc.)
For caregivers: providing care to a loved one
For caregivers: self-care while caring for a loved one
And more!
If you would like to participate in Zebra Tales to feature your story on the Carcinoid NETs Health Storylines app, please take a minute to fill in the participation form below by June 30, 2017. We will contact you by July 7, 2017 to let you know if your story is selected.
